Job Opportunity: Senior Technical Office & Project Engineer (Technical & Commercial)

Location: KSA (Outside Riyadh, towards Makkah Road)

Job Type: Full-Time

About the Role

We are looking for a highly capable Senior Project & Technical Engineer who can confidently manage both the technical engineering and commercial aspects of our project. Because we operate with an efficient, compact project team, you will serve as the core engine driving our project approvals, schedules, and financial claims. In this role, you will lead technical approvals and utilize BIM data to verify quantities for invoices and variation orders.

Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work

You will be fully responsible for handling and preparing the following activities in this exact order of priority:

Site Inspections: Step out into the field to conduct routine site inspections, ensuring physical execution matches approved shop drawings and QA/QC standards.

Engineering Submittals & QA/QC: Write and compile professional Method Statements, Technical Material Submittals, and Pre-qualification (PQ) documents to secure prompt client/consultant approvals.

BIM Review & Quantity Extraction: Coordinate closely with our on-site BIM Modeler. Use Navisworks for coordination reviews and utilize Autodesk Revit to extract accurate material take-offs to support your commercial quotations and VOs.

Commercial Coordination & Invoicing: Prepare and follow up on progressive project invoices, client payment applications, and detailed financial claims.

Variation Orders (VO): Identify scope deviations, prepare Variation Order (VO) packages, calculate associated costs, and maintain a robust VO Schedule/Log.

Planning & Progress Tracking: Develop, update, and manage the master project program using Primavera P6. Cross-reference field installation progress against scheduled milestones.

Required Profile & Technical Competencies

To successfully manage this dual technical-commercial scope, you must possess:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Construction Engineering.

Professional Registration: Must hold a valid registration/professional accreditation from the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).

Driving License: Valid Saudi Driving License is strictly mandatory (due to the project location).

Software Mastery (Non-Negotiable):

Primavera P6 (For baseline scheduling and progress tracking).

Autodesk Revit & Navisworks (For navigating models, verifying layouts, and pulling quantities).

Commercial & Technical Literacy: Proven experience handling progress billings, contractual claims, and drafting professional engineering documents (Method statements, PQ files) in clear English.

Experience: 5 to 8 years of well-rounded experience split between Construction Technical Offices, Quantity Surveying (QS), and Site coordination.
