## Position Summary

The Electrical Project Engineer is responsible for planning, supervising, and executing all electrical works related to utility-scale Solar PV projects, including installation, testing, commissioning, and grid synchronization. The role ensures all project activities are completed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with project specifications and international standards.

## Key Roles & Responsibilities

* Supervise electrical installation works for Solar PV plants.

* Coordinate installation of PV modules, string inverters, central inverters, transformers, RMUs, switchgear, SCADA, and communication systems.

* Review electrical drawings, SLDs, layouts, and technical specifications.

* Monitor construction progress and ensure work is completed according to project schedules.

* Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and commissioning teams.

* Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, SEC, and client standards.

* Supervise cable laying, termination, earthing, lightning protection, and testing activities.

* Coordinate pre-commissioning, testing, commissioning, and grid synchronization.

* Verify quality of installations and prepare inspection reports.

* Attend client meetings and resolve technical issues.

* Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.

* Ensure compliance with HSE policies and Permit-to-Work (PTW) procedures.

* Support project handover and documentation.

## Required Skills

* Strong knowledge of Solar PV electrical systems.

* Experience with AC & DC systems.

* Knowledge of string and central inverter installations.

* Familiarity with substations (33kV/132kV), transformers, RMUs, switchgear, and protection systems.

* Experience in cable testing, insulation resistance, continuity, and functional testing.

* Ability to read electrical drawings, SLDs, and PV layouts.

* Good understanding of SCADA and communication systems.

* Excellent coordination, leadership, and troubleshooting skills.

## Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (B.E./B.Tech).

* Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) Registration (Preferred).

* OSHA/NEBOSH/IOSH Certification is an advantage.

## Experience

* **5–8 years** of Electrical Engineering experience.

* Minimum **3 years** in **Utility-Scale Solar PV Projects**.

* Experience in construction, testing, commissioning, and grid connection.

* GCC/Saudi Arabia project experience preferred.

## Preferred Experience

* Utility-scale Solar PV projects (50MW+).

* Experience with EPC contractors such as L&T, ACWA Power, Masdar, EDF, or major renewable energy developers.

* Familiarity with IEC, IEEE, and Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) standards.
