HSE Engineer 1
Location: Saudi Arabia Department: Health, Safety, Security & Environment
About the Role
We're looking for an HSE Engineer I to support the implementation of our Health, Safety, and Environmental management systems. You'll work alongside senior HSE staff and operational teams to help maintain a safe, compliant working environment across the site.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Support implementation and continual improvement of the HSE Management System (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, RC 14001)
- Assist with risk assessments (HIRA, JHA) and hazard identification/control measures
- Participate in incident and near-miss investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions
- Support HSE training delivery, onboarding, and toolbox talks/safety campaigns
- Conduct routine site inspections and help evaluate operational controls
- Assist in emergency response planning, drills, and simulations
- Collect and analyze HSE performance data and KPIs; prepare draft reports
- Support regulatory submissions and compliance documentation (SAIS, MODON, NCEC, Aramco, etc.)
**Requirements**
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
- Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, NEBOSH, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, SAIS SAF standards
- Strong knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and hazard control
- Good analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and HSE management software
- Excellent written and spoken English and Arabic
