JOB TITLE: ESTIMATION ENGINEER!
We are seeking an experienced Estimation Engineer to join our team. The Estimation Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for Oil & Gas projects, including engineering, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning activities. The position requires strong knowledge of technical specifications, drawings, BOQs/MTOs, material pricing, subcontractor costs, and project execution requirements.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare cost estimates and commercial quotations.
• Review RFQs, drawings, BOQs, MTOs, and specifications.
• Perform material and quantity take-offs.
• Collect and obtain prices and quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Compare supplier and subcontractor prices and select competitive rates.
• Prepare price comparisons and cost breakdowns.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, and Project teams.
• Identify scope, exclusions, assumptions, and cost risks.
• Maintain updated supplier contacts and pricing records.
• Submit accurate estimates and quotations within deadlines.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in MEP estimation/tendering.
• Experience in EPC, piping, mechanical, maintenance, or industrial projects is preferred.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel, AutoCAD, BOQ/MTO, and cost estimation.
• Experience in collecting and comparing supplier prices.
• Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
