COST CONTROL ENGINEER – RIYADH, SAUDI ARABIA

### Job Description

We are seeking an experienced **Cost Control Engineer** to join our team in Riyadh. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring project costs, budgets, expenditures, and financial performance to ensure projects are delivered within the approved budget and in accordance with contractual requirements.

### Key Responsibilities

* Develop and maintain project cost control systems and procedures.

* Monitor project budgets, commitments, actual costs, and forecasts.

* Track project expenditures and identify cost variances and potential overruns.

* Prepare regular **cost reports, forecasts, and financial analyses** for management.

* Review and verify invoices, payment applications, purchase orders, and subcontractor costs.

* Monitor material, equipment, labor, and subcontractor costs.

* Coordinate with Procurement, Finance, Project Management, and Site teams regarding project costs.

* Analyze cost performance and provide recommendations for corrective actions.

* Monitor **BOQ quantities, variations, change orders, and additional works** and assess their cost impact.

* Maintain accurate records of project commitments, expenditures, and remaining budgets.

* Assist with monthly progress and cost reporting.

* Support project teams in preparing cost estimates and budget revisions.

* Identify potential commercial and financial risks affecting project costs.

* Ensure cost control activities comply with company procedures and project requirements.

* Prepare management reports highlighting budget status, cost trends, and forecasted final costs.

### Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in **Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Accounting, or a related field**.

* Minimum **3–5 years of experience** in cost control within construction or infrastructure projects.

* Strong understanding of project budgeting, cost forecasting, and financial reporting.

* Experience with **BOQs, variations, change orders, subcontractors, and procurement costs**.

* Strong analytical and numerical skills.

* Advanced knowledge of **Microsoft Excel**; experience with ERP or project cost-control systems is preferred.

* Ability to analyze large amounts of financial and project data accurately.

* Strong communication and coordination skills.

* Ability to work under pressure and meet reporting deadlines.

* Previous experience in **Saudi Arabia** or GCC construction projects is an advantage.
