Structural Engineer

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer who can independently lead structural engineering activities from analysis and design through to technical documentation and coordination.

The successful candidate will work closely with project teams, consultants, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to develop safe, efficient, practical, and code-compliant structural solutions.

This is an opportunity for an experienced structural engineer to play an important role in AUSCO's continued growth and contribute directly to the successful delivery of engineering projects in Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and perform structural analysis and design for buildings and other structural systems.

Develop structural calculations, design reports, specifications, drawings, and technical documentation.

Review structural designs, calculations, drawings, and engineering deliverables for technical accuracy and compliance.

Apply relevant international and Saudi standards, codes, specifications, and project requirements.

Develop practical and economical structural solutions while maintaining safety, serviceability, durability, and constructability.

Coordinate structural design activities with architectural, civil, MEP, geotechnical, and other engineering disciplines.

Identify and resolve structural design issues and technical interfaces throughout the project lifecycle.

Review technical submissions, shop drawings, material submittals, and contractor proposals where required.

Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior and intermediate engineers.

Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, coordination meetings, and project discussions.

Support project teams during construction and respond to technical queries and site-related structural issues when required.

Monitor engineering deliverables to ensure they meet project specifications, applicable codes, quality requirements, and agreed schedules.

Contribute to improving engineering standards, design procedures, calculation methodologies, and technical quality within AUSCO.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.

MSc in Structural Engineering is highly desirable.

Strong professional experience in structural engineering, design, and analysis.

Demonstrated experience working on structural engineering projects from concept/design development through detailed design and construction support.

Strong understanding of reinforced concrete and/or structural steel design.

Good knowledge of applicable international structural design codes and standards.

Familiarity with Saudi construction requirements and engineering practices is an advantage.

Proficiency in relevant structural analysis and design software.

Ability to independently prepare and review structural calculations and engineering deliverables.

Strong technical communication, coordination, problem-solving, and reporting skills.

Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
