Job description

We are hiring an experienced Senior Site Engineer to lead the physical installation of remote solar measurement and meteorological monitoring stations across Saudi Arabia, from site handover through civil works, mast erection, instrument mounting and power system installation to readiness for commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead end-to-end installation of remote monitoring stations in the assigned region in line with the project execution plan and method statements

Plan and sequence multi-site installation campaigns considering crews, travel, permits, materials and seasonal access

Direct installation crews, subcontractors and vendors; set daily targets and verify output against programme

Confirm site readiness before mobilization: access, permits, setting-out, ground conditions and materials

Supervise civil works: foundations, concrete, earthing, fencing and access

Supervise mast erection, guying, tensioning and verticality checks

Oversee mounting and alignment of instruments (pyranometers, shadowband radiometer, present-weather sensor, soiling station, anemometer, wind vane, rain gauge, T/RH and barometric sensors)

Oversee station power system installation: PV module, charge controller, DC-DC conversion, batteries and cabling

Verify cable dressing, termination, labelling, lightning protection and earthing before energization

Enforce HSE at every station: permits to work, working at height, lifting, excavation and PPE

Control quality through ITPs, hold and witness points; raise and close punch lists

Manage on-site materials, crew logistics, accommodation, vehicles and consumables for remote campaigns

Maintain as-built records and lead handover of completed stations to Operations

Report daily progress, blockers and HSE observations to project management

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical or related Engineering discipline

5 to 9 years of site execution experience, including a leading role on remote multi-site installation programmes

Experience installing meteorological or solar measurement stations, solar PV plants, telecom sites, environmental monitoring networks or comparable field installations is strongly preferred

Practical knowledge of civil foundations, mast erection, instrument mounting and low-voltage DC / solar PV / battery systems

Valid Saudi driving license and willingness to travel extensively across the Kingdom (mandatory)

Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) registration preferred

OSHA 30, working at height or equivalent safety training preferred

GCC experience, ideally in Saudi Arabia, and transferable Iqama preferred

Location: Project sites across Saudi Arabia (Riyadh based)
