1. Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer with a strong background in Oil & Gas pipeline construction projects, particularly Saudi Aramco projects.

The candidate will be responsible for coordinating and supervising mechanical and pipeline construction activities, ensuring that all work is executed according to approved engineering drawings, project specifications, Saudi Aramco standards, quality requirements, and project schedules.

2. Key Responsibilities

- Review and interpret IFC drawings, piping layouts, pipeline alignment sheets, isometric drawings and technical specifications.

- Coordinate pipeline construction activities, including pipe laying, fit-up, welding, lowering, backfilling and tie-in works.

- Ensure compliance with Saudi Aramco engineering standards, project specifications and approved procedures.

- Coordinate with construction teams, supervisors, QC inspectors, welding engineers and HSE personnel.

- Review and coordinate Method Statements, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).

- Prepare and review RFIs (Request for Inspection), WIRs, MIRs and technical submittals.

- Monitor daily progress, manpower, equipment utilization and material availability.

- Coordinate with client representatives, consultants and subcontractors for inspections and technical approvals.

- Resolve site technical issues and coordinate with the engineering department for necessary clarifications.

- Monitor welding activities, NDT requirements, hydrostatic pressure testing and pipeline commissioning.

- Ensure proper documentation, quality records, test packages and final project handover dossiers.

- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly progress reports.

- Ensure project activities are completed within the approved schedule, budget and quality requirements.

3. Technical Experience Required

The candidate should have practical experience in the following pipeline construction activities:

1. Pipeline route preparation and survey coordination.

2. Trenching and excavation activities.

3. Pipe stringing, bending and fit-up.

4. Pipeline welding and joint inspection.

5. Non-Destructive Testing (RT, UT, MPI and PT).

6. Field Joint Coating (FJC).

7. Pipeline lowering and backfilling.

8. Tie-in and hot work coordination.

9. Hydrostatic pressure testing.

10. Pigging, flushing and pipeline pre-commissioning.

11. Preparation of test packages and final documentation.

4. Qualification & Experience

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Oil & Gas pipeline construction projects.

- Previous experience working on Saudi Aramco projects is highly preferred.

- Strong knowledge of Saudi Aramco standards, specifications and construction procedures.

- Experience in onshore pipeline projects, preferably large-diameter carbon steel pipelines.

- Familiarity with project documentation, QA/QC procedures and construction planning.

- Good communication and coordination skills.
