The Position: As the senior project planner, you will oversee and execute various planning activities and deliverables critical to the project's success. Your responsibilities encompass scheduling, progress reporting, productivity analysis, delay notifications, and comprehensive reporting activities as needed. In this leadership role, you will manage assigned planning teams, guide planning and reporting initiatives, and provide overarching coordination, development, and updates to the baseline plan across all project areas. Your supervision and direction will extend to all planning-related activities, ensuring proactive resolution of schedule issues across disciplines in a timely manner.
Key Responsibili es:
Lead coordination for Project Baseline plans development with the project management team, ensuring approval within contractual terms.
Develop project planning procedures, defining program requirements, resource planning, progress assessment, and reporting.
Timely collection and incorporation of accurate updated information into the program, analyzing effects and highlighting adverse situations.
Incorporate changes to the scope of work into the program, analyze effects using histograms and progress curves.
Review/prepare narratives for reports, analyzing achievements and their effects on remaining scope of work.
Ensure clear communication of project priorities to project management and site teams.
Implement progress and productivity reporting systems following established procedures.
Review integration of subcontractors’ schedules within the baseline schedule, ensuring compliance.
Review preparation of working programs, short-term look-ahead programs as needed.
Monitor and control progress of key activities in engineering, procurement, construction, and handover phases.
Ensure data collection and updating of project schedules using Primavera P6 software.
Be aware of critical issues affecting work progress and report them in a timely manner to the project manager.
Review and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports to the client as per the agreed project calendar.
Coordinate and prepare key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for all main trades/activities and costs.
Monitor the schedule’s critical and longest path, highlighting any deviations to the project manager weekly.
Identify potential risks and opportunities impacting the project schedule or budget, preparing forecast schedules and reports.
Monitor and forecast resources and costs, preparing histograms/reports.
Prepare management reports and dashboard reports as required.
Coordinate with other departments/disciplines for timely processing of accurate project information.
Attend client and internal meetings, presenting progress status and issues, and taking necessary actions.
Review delay analysis and assist in the preparation of extension of time (EOT) programs using Primavera P6 software.
Provide support for new bids, preparing tender programs as per tender documents.
Develop a forecasting mindset, keeping the project manager aware of critical issues.
Maintain a high standard of safe working practices, quality, productivity, and compliance with the code of business conducts.
Personal Skills:
The successful candidate is likely to meet all of the following criteria:

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, mechanical or equivalent
• 15+ years of relevant work experience
• EVS work experience is preferred
• Proficient in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sway etc.)
• Knowledge of Tekla, Revit, AutoCAD etc. if any
• Hands-on experience in preparation and submission of EOT claims
• Experience in execution of high-rise and low-rise buildings (Including civil and structural steel
