Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Estimation Engineer cum Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in estimating project costs accurately and ensuring effective management of project budgets. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, analytical skills, and strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Estimation:

• Conduct thorough analysis of project requirements, including materials, labor, and equipment costs.

• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects including Civil,

Fit-Out & MEP based on tender drawings, specifications, and other relevant documents.

• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to review and refine project scopes and budgets.

2. Quantity Surveying:

• Perform quantity take-offs and measurements from architectural and engineering drawings.

• Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and regulations.

• Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotations.

• Monitor project progress and assess variations in quantities and costs.

3. Cost Management:

• Develop and maintain cost databases and historical cost data for future reference.

• Monitor project expenditures and track against budgets throughout the project lifecycle.

• Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options without compromising quality or safety.

• Prepare regular cost reports and forecasts for project stakeholders.

4. Communication and Collaboration:

• Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to gather necessary information and resolve any discrepancies.

• Communicate effectively with project stakeholders regarding cost-related matters, including presenting cost estimates and reports.

• Collaborate closely with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure alignment on cost-related issues.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.

• Proven experience in estimation and quantity surveying within the construction industry.

• Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., CostX, Planswift, Bluebeam) and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and techniques.

• Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with meticulous attention to detail.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
