Job Title: Safety Officer (Civil)

Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a diligent and proactive Safety Officer to join our dynamic team. As a Safety Officer (Civil), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our personnel, contractors, and the public across our civil construction projects. Your primary responsibility will be to implement and enforce safety protocols, conduct risk assessments, and promote a culture of safety excellence throughout all project phases.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures in accordance with local regulations and industry standards.

• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices.

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to address safety concerns and implement corrective actions.

• Provide safety training and orientation to personnel, emphasizing the importance of hazard recognition and prevention.

• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and develop reports with recommendations for preventive measures.

• Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, and incident reports.

• Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and advancements in safety practices, and incorporate relevant changes into our safety program.

• Foster a culture of safety awareness and accountability among all project stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

• Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH) is must.

• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Safety Officer in the civil construction industry, with a strong understanding of construction safety regulations and practices.

• Excellent knowledge of risk assessment and hazard identification techniques.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.

• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and the ability to make data-driven decisions.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications.

• Demonstrated commitment to promoting a culture of safety excellence.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
