We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Qualified Safety Engineer to join our team for our prestigious Port project in Neom city, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for site safety inspection to support the successful delivery of the project.
*Key Responsibilities:*
• Monitors the overall safety procedures including equipment safety and professional clothing compliance.
• Conducts periodic maintenance and inspections of the fire extinguishers.
• Monitors sites security and safety.
• Examines potential unsafe working conditions and takes corrective action.
• Ensure Inspection for equipment, tools and working conditions through Competent AP (Appointed Person)
• Ensure Periodical Inspections of safety belts, ladders, ropes, rubber goods, Lifting Gear and tools and replaces those not meeting safety requirements.
• Observes crews at work and reports lack of discipline in safety precautions, such as failure to use goggles, rubber gloves, and other safety devices.
• Investigates accidents to determine causes and devises preventive measures.
• Instructs workers in use of safety equipment and safe work methods.
• Performs other duties as required.
*Qualifications and Experience:*
-Secondary school or industrial technical certificate and a basic / introductory health and safety qualification.
-More than 2 years’ experience in construction.
-Member of IOSH, or equivalent professional body (desirable).
- Good problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Familiarity with local HSE codes and regulations in Saudi Arabia.
