Job description

HSE engineer to ensure that all occupational health and safety standards are followed and that adherence to environmental laws is maintained in industrial or manufacturing settings. HSE engineers devise safety plans, monitor practices to ensure compliance, write up safety policies and procedures, and respond to emergencies as needed. They also review the impact an industry has on the environment and create plans to minimize or eliminate any impact on a company's surroundings.

Experience in Pipeline Project and HDPE Cognitive Pipes, Excavation

JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1 Execute safety programs for locations and minimize company safety losses.

Develop a culture to anticipate and prevent health hazardous conditions.

Drive behaviors preventing illnesses in work place by engaging management commitment.

2 Investigate incidents, determine root cause and develop corrective actions.

Support HSE inspections, audits and self-assessments.

3 Maintain and apply knowledge of current health and safety policies, regulations, and industrial processes.

4 Review plans and specifications for new machinery and equipment to make sure that they meet safety requirements.

5 Identify and correct potential hazards by inspecting facilities, machinery, and safety equipment

9 Evaluate the effectiveness of various industrial control mechanisms

10 Ensure that buildings or products comply with health and safety regulations, especially after an inspection that required changes

11 Install safety devices on machinery or direct the installation of these devices

12 Review employee safety programs and recommend improvements

13 Ensure that company policies adhere to local, state and federal regulations.

14 Train and oversee employees on health and safety regulations

15 Monitor personnel and work space

16 Always ensure the company is prepared to submit the appropriate document

17 Encourage and advocate for safer work equipment, materials and supplies

18 Track the number of incidents and produce reports

19 Monitor exposure to certain hazardous chemicals

20 Report to Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) and other relevant organizations

21 Attend seminars/workshops for further education

22 Work with legislators and politicians to support key local legislation

23 develop procedures and design systems to protect people from illness and injury and property from damage. They combine knowledge of engineering and of health and safety to make sure that chemicals, machinery, software, furniture, and other products will not cause harm to people or damage to property.

24 Nominates his /her deputy during their absence to handle the duties

25 Be available to undertake off-site inspections of proposed equipment and materials as may be deemed necessary by the Project Manager.
