Education and Experience:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil) or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of total experience in the relevant discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil), with at least 1 year of hands-on experience in cost control for construction projects.
Skills:
Strong understanding of project management principles and practices.
Proficiency in cost control software (such as PowerBi, MS Excel, and ERP systems like Epromis).
Ability to track costs, create forecasts, and monitor expenditures.
Familiarity with CSI MasterFormat coding for cost breakdowns.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Certifications (Preferred): PMP, CCP (Certified Cost Professional), or relevant certification.
Responsibilities:
Cost Tracking: Monitor related costs, ensuring expenditures align with the approved project budget.
Cost Reporting: Generate regular reports on costs and variances, providing insights to management.
Forecasting: Prepare accurate cost forecasts based on project progress.
Budgeting: Assist in creating detailed cost estimates during the planning and tendering phases.
Change Order Management: Evaluate and manage cost impacts of design changes or scope adjustments .
Collaboration: Coordinate with procurement, project managers, and the site team to ensure materials are procured within budget and delivered on time.
Cost Audits: Participate in financial audits to verify cost accuracy.
