Job Summary:

We are looking to hire Safety Officers to join our team. The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of safety regulations and policies at our sites. These positions are critical in maintaining a safe and compliant working environment, reducing risks, and minimizing incidents. The ideal candidates will have experience working in Gulf countries and possess a thorough understanding of local safety standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safety Monitoring: Oversee and monitor daily site operations to ensure compliance with safety protocols, policies, and legal regulations.

• Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards. Implement preventive measures to control and mitigate risks.

• Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents, near misses, and incidents to identify root causes. Provide recommendations for corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

• Safety Training: Organize and conduct safety training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors. Ensure that all workers are educated on emergency procedures, safety equipment, and safe work practices.

• PPE Compliance: Ensure that Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is used correctly and maintained according to safety standards.

• Emergency Preparedness: Assist in the development and implementation of emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures, fire drills, and first aid protocols. Conduct regular emergency drills and review procedures.

• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, training, and compliance activities of the sites. Prepare detailed reports for management and regulatory bodies.

• Safety Audits: Participate in regular safety audits, both internal and external, and ensure that corrective actions are implemented in a timely manner.

• Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, supervisors, and other personnel to ensure safety regulations are enforced and adhered to throughout daily operations.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree graduate.

• Certifications:

o NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) Certificate or

o OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) certification is mandatory.

• Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Safety Officer in Gulf countries, with a strong understanding of local regulations and safety standards (e.g., Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, etc.).

• Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of safety laws, regulations, and standards within the Gulf region, including knowledge of site-specific hazards and the ability to mitigate them.

• Skills:

o Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

o Proficiency in safety management software and MS Office.

o Ability to conduct safety inspections and audits.

o Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

o Ability to remain calm and respond effectively in emergencies.

• Language: English, Hindi, and Arabic
