A Civil QA/QC (Quality Assurance/Quality Control) Engineer ensures that construction projects meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and client specifications. This role is critical for maintaining safety, compliance, and quality in civil engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Management:
Develop and implement QA/QC plans and procedures.
Ensure adherence to project specifications, codes, and standards.
Inspection and Testing:
Conduct site inspections for various construction activities (e.g., concrete pouring, reinforcement).
Oversee material testing (e.g., concrete strength, soil compaction).
Documentation:
Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
Prepare quality control reports for stakeholders.
Compliance and Audits:
Ensure compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and client requirements.
Participate in internal and external quality audits.
Corrective Actions:
Identify non-conformities and recommend corrective or preventive actions.
Follow up on the implementation of corrective measures.
Training and Awareness:
Train site personnel on quality standards and procedures.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement.
