**Job Summary:**

We are seeking an experienced Planning Engineer with 15 years of expertise in project planning and scheduling, particularly in the oil & gas, construction, or industrial sectors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating project schedules, monitoring project progress, ensuring timely delivery, and supporting decision-making through data-driven insights. **Key Responsibilities:**

- **Project Scheduling & Planning:**

- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for the planning, execution, and delivery phases of projects.

- Identify project milestones and critical paths, and ensure projects stay on track to meet deadlines.

- Coordinate with project managers and stakeholders to align planning objectives.

- Prepare and review time-phased cost and resource-loaded schedules to ensure project execution remains within scope, budget, and timelines.

- **Project Monitoring & Control:**

- Monitor project progress against the schedule and report any deviations to senior management.

- Conduct regular site visits to gather updates and validate progress on the ground.

- Track project performance metrics (time, cost, quality) and propose corrective actions as needed.

- Provide timely status reports, highlighting any potential delays or bottlenecks.

- **Risk Management:**

- Identify, assess, and proactively manage risks affecting project timelines and deliverables.

- Develop and implement mitigation plans for identified risks.

- **Collaboration & Coordination:**

- Collaborate with project engineers, procurement teams, and contractors to ensure effective coordination of project activities.

- Participate in project meetings, providing accurate and up-to-date schedule information.

- Work with the procurement team to ensure timely availability of resources and materials in line with the project timeline.

- **Cost & Resource Management:**

- Monitor resource utilization and suggest improvements to optimize the use of personnel, equipment, and materials.

- Assist with the preparation of cost estimates and track project costs to prevent overruns.

- **Reporting & Documentation:**

- Generate and present regular reports, including progress updates, delays, and forecasts.

- Maintain accurate records of schedules, reports, changes, and approvals.

**Requirements:**

- **Education:**

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.

- Professional certifications such as PMP, Prince2, or PMI-SP are preferred.

- **Experience:**

- Minimum of 15 years of experience in planning and scheduling in large-scale projects, preferably in the oil & gas, construction, or industrial sectors.

- Experience with various project management tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, and other planning software.

- **Technical Skills:**

- Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project for scheduling and project control.

- In-depth knowledge of project planning and scheduling techniques, including Earned Value Management (EVM).
