Electrical Engineer

Location: Jubail, Saudi Arabia

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in Jubail. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working in an EPC environment within the oil, gas, petrochemical, hydrocarbon, or refinery industries, and will be recognized as a specialist in electrical distribution systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead electrical engineering design activities for large-scale projects, ensuring the successful delivery of electrical systems from concept to commissioning.

Design and implement electrical distribution systems (ranging from 400V to 230KV), including relay protection settings, power system studies (ETAP software), and electrical grounding calculations.

Perform detailed engineering studies, equipment sizing, material takeoff lists (MTO), and HACD drawings.

Review and approve designs related to illumination studies, cable raceway design, and heat tracing systems.

Prepare and review FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) documents, including technical calculations, design drawings (interconnection, layout, section details), and equipment specifications.

Review, update, and prepare as-built drawings as necessary to reflect project changes.

Develop material requisitions (MR) for procurement, including vendor quotations, purchase orders (PO), and equipment specifications.

Conduct technical bid evaluations and review vendor documentation.

Support FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing), SAT (Site Acceptance Testing), commissioning, and construction activities.

Interpret P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) for electrical design and integration.

Troubleshoot and resolve engineering issues, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

Requirements:

Minimum 10-15 years of hands-on experience in electrical engineering within the oil, gas, petrochemical, hydrocarbon, or refinery sectors.

Strong expertise in electrical distribution systems (230KV/34.5KV/13.8KV/4.16KV/480V to 400V).

Proficiency in power system studies, relay protection, grounding calculations, and use of ETAP software.

Expertise in preparation and review of engineering designs, drawings, and material requisitions.

Experience with commissioning and construction support activities.

Excellent understanding of P&ID interpretation and integration into electrical design.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Willingness to work in Jubail, Saudi Arabia.
