We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in preparing shop drawings, handling material submittals, and managing testing and commissioning activities for mechanical systems. The selected candidate will work closely with project teams to ensure all mechanical works comply with project specifications, industry standards, and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed shop drawings for mechanical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting.
Review and submit material submittals in line with project specifications for client/consultant approval.
Coordinate with the design team, site engineers, and consultants to ensure smooth implementation of approved drawings and materials.
Supervise and perform testing and commissioning of mechanical systems, ensuring proper functionality and compliance with project requirements.
Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor work progress, resolve technical issues, and ensure quality control.
Ensure all works comply with project timelines, safety standards, and quality assurance processes.
Maintain and update proper project documentation, including inspection reports, commissioning records, and material approvals.
Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless project execution.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, especially in construction or contracting companies.
Strong knowledge and experience in shop drawings preparation, material submittals, testing & commissioning for mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, firefighting).
Familiarity with mechanical codes, standards, and regulations.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant software.
Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure.
Preferred Skills:
Experience working in MEP projects.
Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and piping systems.
Hands-on experience in site supervision and inspection.
