We are a small, dynamic team seeking a Mechanical Engineer with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks expertise to support our fabrication efforts. In this role, you will be involved in designing and producing parts and assemblies for our distribution operations. You’ll work closely with our fabrication team to ensure that designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and meet the necessary specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Create 2D and 3D models for fabricated parts and assemblies using AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
Develop detailed drawings, specifications, and assembly instructions for the fabrication team.
Work with production to troubleshoot and refine designs as needed.
Assist in selecting materials and ensuring they are suitable for fabrication processes.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality control processes.
Coordinate the flow of design information between fabrication, assembly, and distribution teams.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize fabrication processes and reduce costs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with fabrication equipment or a small-scale manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with basic industrial safety protocols.
Ability to work independently and manage projects in a small team.
