About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Switchgear Project Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will lead the technical and project management aspects of switchgear systems—from design through commissioning. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, design, and field service, to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage end-to-end switchgear projects, including design reviews, customer coordination, and site execution.
Interpret technical specifications and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (e.g., ANSI, IEEE, UL).
Coordinate with design and production teams to develop and review technical drawings and bills of materials.
Support testing, installation, and commissioning of switchgear systems.
Serve as the primary technical liaison between the customer and internal departments.
Monitor project timelines, costs, and deliverables; provide regular status updates and reporting.
Troubleshoot and resolve engineering or project issues as they arise.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
3+ years of experience in switchgear or electrical power systems engineering.
Strong knowledge of low- and medium-voltage switchgear design and applications.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
PMP certification or experience in project management is a plus.
