Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, testing, and commissioning fire suppression and protection systems, ensuring compliance with NFPA, SFPE, and Saudi Civil Defense standards. This includes full project execution, site supervision, and documentation. The engineer will also be responsible for preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQs) from CAD drawings and system specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
? Design fire protection systems including sprinklers, FM200/NOVEC, CO? systems, hydrants, fire pumps, and kitchen hood suppression systems
? Supervise installation, pressure testing, and commissioning activities
? Prepare BOQs from CAD drawings and mechanical layouts to support procurement and project execution
? Ensure project compliance with international and local fire safety codes
? Manage technical documentation, including:
? Material Submittals
? Method Statements
? Material Inspection Requests (MIR)
? Work Inspection Requests (WIR)
? Testing & Commissioning Reports
? Completion Certificates
? Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal project teams
? Attend technical meetings and support system handover
? Assist with troubleshooting, system modifications, and post-installation support
Qualifications:
? Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
? 3–5 years of experience in fire protection system design and installation
? Proficient in AutoCAD, hydraulic calculation software (e.g., Elite), and MS Office
? Strong knowledge of NFPA, SFPE, and Saudi Civil Defense standards
? Experience in BOQ preparation from CAD-based designs
? Excellent documentation, technical, and coordination skills
