Their role involves collaborating with engineers and architects to design efficient HVAC systems that comply with industry standards and building codes.
Key Responsibilities
Drafting HVAC system designs including ductwork, piping layouts, and equipment placements.
Collaborating with engineers and architects to ensure designs meet project specifications.
Performing calculations for heating and cooling loads to optimize system efficiency.
Modifying and updating designs based on feedback and project requirements.
Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards.
Maintaining project documentation and drawing libraries for future reference.
Conducting field surveys to gather measurements and data for accurate designs.
Required Skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD and other drafting software.
Understanding of HVAC systems and their components.
Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
Attention to detail for precise technical drawings.
Problem-solving skills to address design challenges.
Ability to work in a team and coordinate with engineers and contractors.
