The Cost Control Engineer will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and controlling project costs related to the NWC infrastructure project. The role ensures accurate cost forecasting, budget compliance, timely reporting, and financial control to support effective project execution.

Key Responsibilities
1. Budgeting & Forecasting
• Prepare and maintain project cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts.
• Monitor budget allocations against actual project expenditures.
• Assist in developing cost breakdown structures (CBS) aligned with project work breakdown structures (WBS).
2. Cost Monitoring & Control
• Track, analyze, and control project expenditures to ensure compliance with approved budgets.
• Monitor commitment and expenditure trends and highlight potential cost overruns or savings.
• Coordinate with procurement and finance teams to validate vendor invoices, purchase orders, and subcontractor claims.
3. Reporting & Documentation
• Prepare weekly and monthly cost control reports for management and client submission.
• Provide variance analysis between planned and actual costs with explanations.
• Maintain cost records and ensure data accuracy in the ERP/project management system.
4. Project Coordination
• Work closely with Project Managers, Planning Engineers, and Site Engineers to collect data for accurate cost reporting.
• Support project management in decision-making by providing cost-based insights.
• Coordinate with finance and procurement teams on project-related financial matters.
5. Compliance & Risk Management
• Ensure compliance with company policies, project requirements, and client regulations.
• Identify cost-related risks and propose corrective actions.
• Support in claims preparation, change management, and contract administration.

Qualifications & Skills
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in cost control for infrastructure/utility projects, preferably water projects in Saudi Arabia.
• Technical Skills:
o Strong knowledge of cost control principles, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
o Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP/Cost Control software, and project management tools (Primavera P6 knowledge is a plus).
o Familiarity with National Water Company (NWC) projects and Saudi market practices is desirable.
• Soft Skills:
o Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
o Excellent communication and coordination skills.
o Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
