Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor with a strong background in pipeline construction and maintenance, specifically on projects executed under Saudi Aramco standards. The role involves overseeing field mechanical activities, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and schedule targets, and leading the execution of pipeline installation, hydrotesting, and commissioning activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise mechanical/pipeline activities, including fabrication, welding, installation, and testing of pipelines (cross-country and plant piping).
Ensure compliance with Saudi Aramco specifications, international codes, and project requirements.
Coordinate with QA/QC, HSE, planning, and procurement teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance to ensure adherence to approved drawings and work procedures.
Participate in construction progress meetings and report site issues to project management.
Oversee daily worksite operations to ensure productivity, quality, and safety.
Inspect completed work and monitor compliance with safety regulations.
Coordinate mechanical completion and support pre-commissioning/commissioning teams.
Prepare daily reports, permit-to-work (PTW), and job safety analysis (JSA) documentation.
Manage manpower, equipment, and materials required for mechanical pipeline works.
Ensure timely resolution of field issues and interface with the Aramco inspection team.
Qualifications & Experience:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 7–10 years of experience in mechanical supervision in oil and gas projects.
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Saudi Aramco pipeline projects.
Familiar with Aramco standards (SAES, SAMSS, SATIPs, SAICs).
Strong knowledge of API 1104, ASME B31.4/B31.8, and other relevant pipeline codes.
Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings and P&IDs.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Certification in safety training (Aramco Work Permit Receiver, H2S awareness) is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with pipeline hydrotesting and pigging operations.
Understanding of welding procedures (WPS, PQR) and NDT processes.
Proficiency in MS Office and project reporting tools.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in multicultural environments.
