Reports to: Factory/Operations Manager
Role purpose
Own day-to-day production for expansion joint systems (metal/rubber/aluminum profiles, elastomeric parts, accessories), ensuring plan attainment, quality, and safety while integrating with Odoo (MRP) workflows.
Key responsibilities
Convert sales/engineering BOMs into MOs; plan capacity, materials, and sequencing in Odoo.
Lead shopfloor execution: cutting, machining/CNC, extrusion/assembly, bonding/curing, finishing & packing.
Implement QA/QC against drawings & specs (ASTM/EN/BS for joints); first-article & in-process inspection, final release.
Reduce scrap and cycle time with lean tools (5S, Kaizen, SMED).
Coordinate with Maintenance on preventive plans; minimize downtime (MTTR/MTBF tracking).
Enforce HSE procedures; conduct toolbox talks and risk assessments.
Drive continuous improvement: jigs/fixtures, SOPs, work instructions, and training.
Report daily production, yields, rework, and OEE; close MOs promptly in Odoo.
Must-have
BSc Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering.
3–7 years in discrete manufacturing (metal fabrication/rubber/plastics/extrusion/assembly).
Hands-on with CNC/cutting/bending/drilling and adhesives/sealants/EPDM/NBR or similar.
Strong QA background, reading technical drawings, tolerances, and gauges.
Experience with any ERP/MRP (Odoo preferred).
Solid safety mindset and shopfloor leadership.
Nice-to-have
Prior work on building/bridge expansion joints or architectural movement systems.
ISO 9001 environments; PPAP/FMEA basics.
Arabic & English.
KPIs
Plan adherence %, OEE, scrap %, rework rate, OT hours vs plan, on-time MO close, NCRs per 1,000 units, near-miss closure rate.
