We are looking for Lead Electrical Engineer is responsible for the overall design, engineering, coordination, and execution of electrical systems for projects executed in accordance with Saudi Aramco standards and specifications. The role involves ensuring technical integrity, compliance, timely delivery of engineering deliverables, and interfacing with multidisciplinary teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
•
Lead the electrical engineering team in the design and execution of oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial projects under Saudi Aramco guidelines.
•
Ensure full compliance with Saudi Aramco engineering standards (SAES), Material System Specifications (SAMSS), Engineering Procedures (SAEP), and General Instructions (GI).
•
Develop and review key electrical deliverables, including:
o
Single Line Diagrams (SLDs)
o
Load Schedules
o
Cable Sizing and Routing
o
Lighting and Power Layouts
o
Earthing and Lightning Protection
o
Electrical Equipment Specifications and Datasheets
o
Hazardous Area Classifications
•
Perform electrical system calculations and studies (Load Flow, Short Circuit, Relay Coordination, Arc Flash) using ETAP or similar software.
•
Review and approve vendor documents and ensure alignment with project and Aramco specifications.
•
Coordinate closely with instrumentation, mechanical, civil/structural, and process teams for integrated designs.
•
Participate in 3D model reviews, HAZOPs, design reviews, and FATs.
•
Provide technical input during procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
•
Respond to technical queries (TQs), site clarifications, and resolve field issues in a timely manner.
•
Supervise and mentor junior engineers and designers.
•
Attend client meetings and interface with Saudi Aramco engineers and inspectors as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
•
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (mandatory).
•
Minimum 10+ years of electrical engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a lead or senior role on oil & gas or industrial projects.
•
Direct experience working on Saudi Aramco projects is preferred
•
In-depth knowledge of IEC, NEC, IEEE, NFPA, and other relevant international standards.
•
Proficient in electrical design tools and software such as ETAP, SKM Power Tools, AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, etc.
•
Strong understanding of hazardous area classifications (Zone/Division), substation design, MCCs, switchgear, UPS, transformers, and lighting systems.
•
Familiar with both greenfield and brownfield project environments.
•
Excellent communication, leadership, and coordination skills.
