Job Summary

The Fit-Out Engineer will oversee the technical and operational aspects of interior fit-out works, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong coordination between design, procurement, contractors, and clients, with a focus on MEP integration, finishes, and compliance with local regulations (e.g., SBC, SASO, and client specifications).

Key Responsibilities

Review and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings for fit-out scope.

Prepare and manage fit-out schedules, method statements, and material submittals.

Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless execution of joinery, ceiling, flooring, partitioning, and finishing works.

Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with approved shop drawings and specifications.

Resolve technical issues on-site and propose value-engineering solutions without compromising quality.

Manage procurement of fit-out materials, ensuring timely delivery and cost control.

Supervise installation of MEP systems within fit-out scope (lighting, HVAC diffusers, fire alarms, etc.).

Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards on site.

Prepare progress reports, variation orders, and snag lists for client approval.

Lead handover process, including as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and defect liability coordination.

Qualifications & Experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.

Experience: Minimum 5–7 years in interior fit-out projects (retail, offices, hotels, or residential towers).

Technical Skills:

Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit (BIM), and MS Project/Primavera.

Strong knowledge of finishing materials (GRC, gypsum, wood, metal, glass, etc.).

Familiarity with KSA building codes and authority approvals (e.g., Civil Defense, Municipality).
