We are seeking an experienced Project Controls / Planning Engineer to manage project planning, scheduling, cost control, progress monitoring and performance reporting. The successful candidate will work closely with project teams, consultants and contractors to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, update and monitor detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
Establish and maintain project baselines, budgets and control systems.
Identify project dependencies, critical paths, delays and schedule impacts.
Monitor actual progress and cost performance against approved baselines.
Analyze schedule and cost variances and recommend corrective or recovery actions.
Prepare forecasts, cash-flow projections and earned value reports.
Develop and maintain project risk registers and mitigation plans.
Review contractors’ baseline schedules, recovery schedules and progress updates.
Coordinate with project teams, consultants and contractors to maintain alignment with project objectives.
Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards and management presentations.
Maintain accurate project records and comply with all documentation requirements.
Ensure compliance with applicable quality, environmental, safety and occupational health policies.
Perform other related duties assigned by the line manager.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
10–15 years of experience in project controls, planning, scheduling and cost management.
Strong experience in cost engineering, estimating, forecasting, planning and schedule analysis.
Proven ability to establish project control procedures, criteria and reporting systems.
Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6; knowledge of MS Project is an advantage.
Strong understanding of construction methodologies and project lifecycle controls.
Excellent analytical, reporting, coordination and communication skills.
Industrial project experience, preferably within Saudi Aramco.
