Job description

Responsible for planning, managing, and executing reclamation and marine/civil construction projects from mobilization through completion. The Project Manager ensures that project activities are delivered safely, within budget, on schedule, and in accordance with client requirements and applicable standards.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the overall execution of reclamation and associated civil/marine construction activities.

Develop project execution plans, schedules, manpower plans, and resource requirements.

Coordinate dredging, filling, earthworks, dewatering, grading, compaction, and reclamation activities.

Plan and monitor the placement and management of fill materials, including sand, rock, and other approved materials.

Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.

Monitor project progress against approved schedules, budgets, milestones, and productivity targets.

Manage manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractor resources efficiently.

Review drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs, and project documentation.

Ensure proper survey and level control for reclamation, grading, and earthwork activities.

Monitor quality control and ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable standards.

Ensure implementation of HSE requirements, risk assessments, permits, and environmental controls.

Identify project risks, delays, technical issues, and resource constraints and implement corrective actions.

Conduct regular progress meetings and provide project status reports to management and the client.

Review quantities, productivity, variations, claims, and subcontractor progress.

Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment.

Manage testing and inspection requirements, including compaction, density, material quality, and level verification.

Ensure proper environmental controls during reclamation activities, including turbidity, sediment control, and disposal requirements where applicable.

Lead project closeout, final inspections, as-built documentation, handover, and demobilization.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.

Minimum 8–12 years of construction/project management experience, preferably with reclamation, marine, dredging, earthworks, or infrastructure projects.

Experience managing large-scale manpower, equipment, subcontractors, and project resources.

Strong knowledge of project planning, cost control, scheduling, quality, and HSE management.

Experience working with major clients, consultants, and contractors.

Strong communication, leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of relevant international standards and client specifications.

Proficiency in MS Project/Primavera P6, MS Excel, and other project management tools.
