We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Chief Survey Engineer to lead our surveying department and drive accuracy across our landmark projects.

Position Overview

As the Chief Survey Engineer, you will head the surveying division, overseeing all geodetic, topographic, and engineering survey operations. You will be responsible for managing field and office teams, implementing advanced geospatial technologies, and ensuring the absolute precision of data for large-scale infrastructure projects (highways, railways, structures, and urban planning).

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of survey engineers, surveyors, and CAD technicians.

• Project Oversight: Oversee end-to-end surveying activities from initial boundary positioning to final as-built certifications.

• Technology Integration: Drive the adoption of modern survey technologies, including UAV/Drones, LiDAR, 3D Laser Scanning, GPS/GNSS, and advanced Total Stations.

• Data QA/QC: Establish strict Quality Assurance and Quality Control protocols to ensure all survey data, digital terrain models (DTMs), and engineering drawings meet rigorous company and statutory standards.

• Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Chief Engineers, clients, and government authorities to resolve complex boundary or alignment issues.

• Budget & Resource Management: Optimize resource allocation, manage survey equipment inventory, and control department budgets.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Geomatics, Surveying Engineering, or a closely related field.

• Experience: 10 to 12 years of progressive experience in surveying, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership or managerial role within a reputed engineering consultancy.

• Technical Expertise: Proficient in engineering software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS, Leica Geo Office, Trimble Business Center, and photogrammetry software.

• Methodologies: Deep understanding of geodetic datum transformations, control network design, and advanced scanning methodologies.

• Soft Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, exceptional leadership, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• License: Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) or relevant chartered certification is highly desirable
