Technical Office Engineer – Electrical Infrastructure

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and seasoned Senior Technical Office Engineer specializing in Electrical Infrastructure to join our growing engineering consultancy team. In this role, you will lead the technical office coordination for large-scale infrastructure projects, ensuring seamless integration of electrical networks, medium/low voltage (MV/LV) power distribution, and substation utilities. You will be the technical backbone connecting design, client requirements, and site execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Design Review & Coordination: Review electrical design drawings, specifications, calculations, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for accuracy and compliance.

• Interface Management: Coordinate electrical infrastructure requirements with other disciplines (Civil, Mechanical, Architectural, and external utility providers) to resolve design clashes.

• Submittals & Documentation: Prepare, review, and manage technical submittals, Material Approvals, RFIs (Requests for Information), and as-built documentation.

• Authority Compliance: Ensure designs and submittals strictly align with local utility regulations (e.g., SEC standards), regional building codes (SBC), and international standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC).

• Technical Support: Provide expert electrical engineering support to procurement, project managers, and site supervision teams.

• Mentorship: Guide, supervise, and mentor junior and mid-level technical office engineers.

Key Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.

• Experience: 10 to 12 years of total professional experience, with a strong focus on electrical infrastructure and a proven track record within a reputed engineering consulting firm or PMC.

• Technical Skills:

• Deep expertise in MV/LV power distribution, street lighting, external networks, and substation utilities.

• Proficiency in engineering software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP, Revit MEP, MS Office).

• Regulatory Knowledge: Solid familiarity with local authority approvals, Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) standards, and Saudi Building Codes (SBC).

• Credentials: Valid registration with the relevant engineering council (e.g., Saudi Council of Engineers - SCE).

• Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, cross-disciplinary communication, and problem-solving skills.
