Experience: Minimum 5 Years – Hands-on Electrical Installation & Commissioning Experience

1. JOB PURPOSE

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Electrical Engineer to supervise, coordinate and execute the installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and handover of the project's electrical distribution and associated electrical systems.

The Engineer shall be responsible for ensuring that all electrical installation works are carried out safely, correctly and in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable IEC/IS standards, manufacturer's recommendations and project quality requirements.

The Engineer shall coordinate with specialist testing agencies and equipment manufacturers wherever specialized testing equipment or OEM support is required.

2. TROUBLESHOOTING

The Engineer shall be capable of independently investigating and resolving electrical installation and commissioning problems, including:

• Breaker tripping

• Protection relay operation

• Cable faults

• Control circuit problems

• Earthing-related issues

• Insulation resistance failures

• Transformer-related electrical issues

• Communication/interface issues between new and existing electrical systems

3. REQUIRED QUALIFICATION

Minimum Qualification:

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant hands-on experience in industrial electrical installation, testing and commissioning.

• Candidates with 7–10 years of relevant site experience will be preferred.

4. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & TECHNICAL SKILLS

The candidate should have demonstrable site experience in:

• MV switchgear / ICOG panels

• SCADA SYSTEM COMMISSIONING

• MV/LV electrical distribution systems

• PCC / MCC / DB installation

• Earthing systems

• Electrical protection systems

5. KEY DELIVERABLES

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for ensuring:

1. Safe and correct installation of electrical equipment.

2. Installation completed as per approved drawings and specifications.

3. All MV/LV cables properly installed and terminated.

4. Earthing system completed and tested.

5. MV/LV panels tested and commissioned.

15. CANDIDATE PROFILE

Essential:

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech. – Electrical Engineering

• Minimum 5 years relevant experience

• Strong industrial site experience

• Hands-on MV/LV installation and commissioning experience

• Experience with MV switchgear/ICOG panels

• Transformer installation and commissioning experience

• Cable laying and termination experience

• Earthing and electrical testing experience

• Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems independently

• Good knowledge of electrical drawings and SLDs

• Good knowledge of electrical safety and LOTO

Preferred:

• 7–10 years industrial electrical experience

• Experience coordinating OEMs and specialist testing agencies

6. DURATION / ENGAGEMENT

The Engineer will be required primarily during the electrical installation, testing, commissioning and handover phase of the project, Roughly 15 working days.

The appointment may initially be made on a project/contract basis, with the duration linked to the project completion and commissioning schedule.
