Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically competent Project Engineer with a Civil or Mechanical Engineering background and strong hands-on site execution experience.

The ideal candidate must possess excellent project management, technical coordination, manpower supervision, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently manage site activities while ensuring quality, safety, cost efficiency, and timely project completion.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Execution & Site Management

Independently plan, coordinate, and supervise daily site activities.

Manage manpower, subcontractors, equipment, and materials.

Ensure project execution complies with approved drawings, specifications, and schedules.

Monitor daily productivity and ensure timely completion of assigned works.

Identify site challenges and implement effective technical solutions.

2. Technical Engineering & Coordination

Review engineering drawings, shop drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications.

Coordinate Civil, Mechanical, Structural, and MEP activities.

Prepare material requirements and technical clarifications.

Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and internal engineering teams.

Ensure proper implementation of approved construction methodologies.

3. Planning & Project Control

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly work schedules.

Monitor project progress against planned targets.

Optimize manpower and resource utilization.

Identify delays and develop recovery plans.

Prepare daily progress reports, manpower reports, and project updates.

4. Quality Control & HSE Compliance

Ensure compliance with project QA/QC procedures and approved ITPs.

Coordinate site inspections and material approvals.

Maintain high workmanship and finishing standards.

Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and site safety requirements.

Identify and rectify quality issues and nonconformities.

5. Cost Control & Material Management

Monitor material consumption and minimize wastage.

Verify executed quantities against BOQ requirements.

Coordinate procurement and timely material delivery.

Monitor site expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Support preparation of progress billing, variation claims, and subcontractor evaluations.

6. Client & Subcontractor Management

Attend project coordination and progress meetings.

Maintain professional communication with clients and consultants.

Supervise subcontractors and ensure contractual compliance.

Resolve site coordination issues proactively.

Ensure timely submission of inspection requests and supporting documentation.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.

Minimum 5 years of proven site execution experience in construction or industrial projects.

Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, site operations, and engineering standards.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, BOQs, and specifications.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and MS Project.

Strong experience in manpower management, site coordination, and project planning.

Good understanding of QA/QC procedures, HSE requirements, and material management.

Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work independently and handle multiple project activities.

Previous experience in Saudi Arabia, including Saudi Aramco or other major industrial projects, will be an added advantage.

Preferred Candidate Profile

We are looking for a hands-on, site-oriented Project Engineer, not solely an office-based coordinator.

The candidate must be capable of:

Maintaining strict control over project quality, cost, and schedules.
