Key Responsibilities
• Review project drawings, specifications, BOQs, and tender documents to understand the complete MEP scope.
• Perform accurate quantity take-offs for Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and other MEP systems.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and commercial proposals for tenders and variation works.
• Prepare RFQs and obtain competitive quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Develop detailed cost breakdowns for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontracting works.
• Analyze project requirements, scope exclusions, risks, and potential cost impacts.
• Review supplier quotations for technical compliance and commercial competitiveness.
• Prepare rate analysis, cost comparisons, and tender clarifications.
• Coordinate with Design, Procurement, Construction, and Commercial teams.
• Identify value engineering opportunities to optimize project costs without compromising quality or specifications.
• Maintain and update cost databases, supplier rates, and estimation templates.
• Support management in tender strategy, budget preparation, and final bid submissions.
• Participate in tender meetings, site visits, and discussions with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of all tender proposals.
• Assist with variation pricing, cost control, and budget monitoring during project execution.
Candidate Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical Engineering.
• 7–10 years of relevant experience in MEP estimation within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, BOQs, quantity surveying, and cost estimation.
• Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight tender deadlines.
• Strong coordination and negotiation skills.
