Job Summary
The Mechanical Supervisor is responsible for supervising plant, equipment, and mechanical site activities to ensure smooth operation, proper maintenance, and efficient utilization of machinery on construction projects. The role ensures compliance with safety standards, project requirements, and equipment performance expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily mechanical site activities, including operation and maintenance of plant and equipment
Ensure proper functioning and utilization of heavy machinery and construction equipment
Coordinate with site teams for equipment allocation based on project requirements
Monitor preventive and corrective maintenance activities
Ensure all equipment is operated safely and in compliance with HSE regulations
Inspect machinery and report any breakdowns or mechanical issues
Coordinate with vendors and technicians for repair and servicing
Maintain records of equipment usage, maintenance, and downtime
Support project planning by ensuring availability of required equipment
Ensure adherence to project specifications and safety standards
Supervise operators and mechanical crews on-site
Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical supervision for construction or infrastructure projects
Strong knowledge of construction equipment and plant operations
Experience in maintenance planning and site coordination
