Part-Time Estimation Engineer – Civil & Landscape Works (SKA)

As a Part-Time Estimation Engineer for Civil and Landscape Works at SKA, I am responsible for developing accurate, competitive, and comprehensive cost estimates for infrastructure and landscape projects while establishing standardized estimating systems and procedures to improve efficiency and consistency across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for civil, infrastructure, and landscape projects.

Review tender drawings, specifications, contract documents, and project requirements to develop accurate pricing and resource estimates.

Analyze project risks, identify cost-saving opportunities, and recommend value engineering solutions.

Obtain and evaluate quotations from subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure competitive pricing.

Develop and maintain estimation databases, unit rates, labor productivity norms, equipment costs, and material price records.

Create and implement standardized estimating procedures, protocols, templates, and workflows to improve the quality and consistency of cost estimation.

Establish estimation policies aligned with industry standards and company objectives.

Coordinate with engineering, procurement, project management, and commercial teams during tender preparation and project execution.

Prepare technical and commercial tender submissions within project deadlines.

Monitor market trends, construction costs, and material price fluctuations to maintain accurate estimating data.

Support management with budgeting, feasibility studies, cost planning, and project cost analysis.

Continuously improve estimating methodologies through process optimization and lessons learned from completed projects.
